Working Principle Of Ball Linear Guides

Leave a message

Rolling linear guides offer advantages such as high rigidity, high precision, high speed, and low friction, but also have disadvantages such as high noise and susceptibility to contamination. Selection requires comprehensive consideration based on the specific application environment and requirements.

Rolling linear guides are a type of transmission mechanism widely used in machine tools, semiconductor equipment, medical instruments, and other fields. They consist of a guide rail base, a guide rail slider, steel balls, and a retainer. The slider is equipped with rolling steel balls, which achieve simultaneous axial and radial movement through their rolling within the guide rail. The basic working principle is that the pressure between the steel balls and the raceways on the inner side of the guide rail generates friction, thus achieving transmission.
