What Are The Installation Precautions For Ball Linear Guides?

Leave a message

As a core component of high-precision linear motion, the installation quality of ball linear guides directly affects the operating accuracy, stability, and service life of the equipment.

Clean the mounting surface and guide rail: Thoroughly remove burrs, oil, dust, and foreign objects from the mounting surface; the guide rail surface is coated with anti-rust oil, which needs to be cleaned with cleaning oil before installation, and a low-viscosity spindle oil should be applied to prevent rust.

Check the accuracy of the mounting surface: Ensure that the flatness (generally required error ≤ 0.05 mm/m), perpendicularity, and rigidity of the mounting surface meet the requirements; scraping or repair may be necessary.

Verify the matching of parts: Confirm that the guide rail, slider, and bolt hole positions are consistent with the design drawings to avoid forced tightening that may cause deformation or a decrease in accuracy.

Environmental adaptability: In high-temperature, high-humidity, or corrosive environments, weather-resistant materials should be selected or enhanced protective measures should be taken.

Regular maintenance: After operation, regularly check whether bolts are loose, whether the guide rail makes abnormal noises or jams, and record the operating status.
